PHILIP EWALD ARCHITECTURE

Edgar Allen Poe Elementary is simply one of the greatest elementary school in Houston.  After its completion in 1985, Poe Elementary was selected as the recipient of two prestigious design awards.  

 

Its appealing look and classic design create a pleasant environment for learning as well as an attractive setting.  Consequently, this lovely elementary school has been used in numerous television commercials and as the backdrop for many a newscast.

 

Its design speaks of America and the ideals we all want for our children.  It is small town America brought to the center of urban Houston.  Philip Ewald was handpicked to design this school, and the district and the active, involved parents who selected him are delighted at the outcome.
